MPLAB7.51 build failure |

Ok, so I decide to 'upgrade' to MPLAB 7.51 from 4.99 and the install is ok. creating asm code works...Download and install the CCS 'magic program' to allow MPLAB to see my PCM ( Version 2.624). It kinda works but erros out as a 'build failure'.I'm not impressed, mega power program craps out without a hint of WHY! I can import the .hex file that MP4.99 creates before it dies(white screen close-ignore)(that's why I 'upgraded...') and MP7.51 will program the chip just fine, dissemble, etc.
Any ideas what's going on??? Yes I know V2.624 is old but then so am I, and it has worked for me for years.
Thanks for any help.

Hello again PCM programmer.Ok,I've 'uninstalled MPLAB7.51,7.50 and 5.7'. Installed 5.7 again. My PCM is in c:\PICC. When I try to build I get the error 'Selectcted Build Tool not correctly installed'. I did run from DOS, ccsc.exe -setup.thinking that would be the cure'. Same message.
I need just a bit more help...arrgh, and another coffee !
Thanks at least 5.7 doesn't crash.

Now it Builds(compiles) OK.

Thanks PCMprogrammer,I'll stick with MPLAB5.7...now that both ASM and C are working.
