flex_lcd and setting cursor
PostPosted: Tue Mar 25, 2008 1:28 pm     Reply with quote

I am putting together code to have a blinking cursor on my screen. from reading other posts on this forum I have found that i can control the position of the cursor by using the lcd_gotoxy() function. Also, it looks like if i change the array in flex_lcd to
int8 const LCD_INIT_STRING[4] =
{
0x20 | (lcd_type << 2), // Func set: 4-bit, 2 lines, 5x8 dots
0xf, // Display on was 0xc
1, // Clear display
6 // Increment cursor
};
the cursor will blink. However, now the cursor is always on at the end of the second line of my lcd display. Is there something else i should do to turn the blinking cursor on only when i want it?
Thanks

See this post in the Code library for a routine to control the lcd cursor:
