Canīt get the PIC 16F676 in Sleep mode
PostPosted: Wed Feb 07, 2007 2:20 pm     Reply with quote

I use the 16F676 in several applications, all with sleep function it works. Now I have a new project but the PIC doesnīt enter the sleep mode!

....
EXT_INT_EDGE(L_TO_H);
sleep();
.....

I want to wake up the PIC with Ext interrupt, but the current after the sleep(); is the same as before. I also have the ICD header for this PIC - when debugging the code has no effect!

Whatīs wrong?

Read the Help File in MPLAB for the ICD2. Look at the
section on Limitations for the 16F676. It says:
Quote:
The SLEEP instruction cannot be used when debugging.
