Timer0 and WDT

Hi guys.
I am using a 18F4620 and CCS 3.235.
Can I use Timer 0 (I´m using if for making a time base of aprox 1sec) and use the watchdog timer as to avoid any hangup, both at the same time ?
Any help will be appreciated.

yes the wdt is separate from the timer0 the only time the wdt fires, is if it times out. timer 0 is for your use as a second counter will work fine
