what is the different between usb chip and non usb chip ????

USB has a relatively complex stack. USB implementations using the PIC offload the processing. Thic can be done using an embedded USB peripheral in the PIC (such as the PIC18F4550) or by using a stand alone USB controller (such as the FTDI controllers). If you want to use a 16F877 class processor then you need to use an FTDI type controller. _________________ Regards, Andrew
