Real time RS232 data acquisition
PostPosted: Mon Nov 15, 2004 3:20 am     Reply with quote

Dear all,

I would like to build a data acquisition using PIC. Data will be sent to a computer using RS232/ UART, say 2kByte/s. The test data is a sine wave from a signal generator.

Since the application is to receive real time signal, can anyone suggests a way to transfer the data so that no data lag in between?
What is the way that is usually being used?

Have your PIC add a timestamp to the data, any delays in transmitting the data will be no problem after that.
