Using ICD3 with CCS
PostPosted: Thu Aug 14, 2014 11:04 am     Reply with quote

Hello, I wonder if anyone can assist.
I am using an ICD3 MplabX with the CCS IDE/Debugger
I can select the ICD3 from within the CCS IDE and the Debug dialog appears, when it tries to attach the ICD3 a pop up window appears
and ask for "Select JRE Directory". I am thinking this is Java Runtime Environment. But Im not sure what folder to point to, I have tried the Java folder and also created folder but nothing works.

I just get target could not be detected.
Could anyone shed any light on this ?

I just use the MPLAB-X IDE with my ICD2/3 and that debugger and use CCS for compile only.
