Hello people.

Well, christmas is just around the corner and I am thinking to make some LEDs lghts....

So, I was searching over the youtube some inspiration and found one.

Look this small piece of a video:

Would anyone know how I can make the effect that he did? Like a PWM over the 8 outputs...

Maybe he has done 8 pwm in software?

Back in 2005, Nuts'n Volts magazine published an article on LED candles, where the author used the Basic Stamp. I converted it at the time to PICBASICPro, but do not have the code available now... you might be able to find the article on their website.

As I recall, it was something of a random number generator which produced the PWM in software. You could adjust the generator variable to modify the flickering effect. If you used, say, two orange, a red and a yellow LED together, you could get a pretty good effect. I liked it and was going to make up a batch, but life got in the way... (I was in Afghanistan with the US Army at the time...)
