I have compiler version 4.081 and when I try to select the PIC16F887, it tells me "List index out of bounds (18)". Why?

Please don't start a whole new thread about adding the 16F887 to your
version of PCW. Add any new questions to your existing thread on the topic:

that's talking about adding a new chip to an old compiler version, I have the new compiler with the chip already as an option and it's not letting me use it.

Re-install the compiler. Make sure you don't have any of your old, edited
files such as Device.dat, Devices.dat or Devices4.dat in the CCS directory.

reinstalled the compiler and now the Wizard and the debugger are no longer available, keeps telling me that I need to download the IDEUTILS, but I can't find my reference number to activate the icon to download it, is there another way to get these guys working?
