breakpoints
PostPosted: Fri Jan 11, 2008 11:21 am     Reply with quote

I am new to the CCS compiler and have a question. I have a project with mutilple files that I have set up as "Multiple Compilation Units" can I set a breakpoint in one of the other units besides my Compilation unit at the top? I can set break points here with no problem but in any other unit I cannot.

Thanks in advance for you help!!

I think the general silence is indicative of the number of people who are willing to use the CCS "multiple compilation units." This feature is still relatively young in the scheme of the CCS development cycle and is therefore probably still buggy.

Most people on this forum learned to use the CCS compiler in its original flavor (using only #include directives) and have just adapted to that method.

There are a few people who use the multiple compilation units and seem to have experienced a few problems with it.

In short, it shouldn't be surprising that things aren't working the way they should be and you may be best served by using the original CCS coding style.
