We worked with ICD2 and programmed it for 18F4550 and it worked fine,
now we altered new pcb with the same design , but its not working, pic revisiontest has been passed sucessfully , but while verifying program memory , the following occurs
[ICD0161: Verify failed (MemType = Program, Address = 0x4, Expected Val = 0xFFFF, Val Read = 0xFFF0)
]
can anyone help

Hello,

Most common problem is the reset circuit !

I had this problem in the past very often and changing the reset resistor to the value CCS suggest is working almost everytime, I think its 47k.

If You have an ICD U40 You can start the debugging session and inspect the signals to the the target pin by pin.
