Upgrading PicStart Plus
PostPosted: Mon Jan 24, 2005 9:12 am     Reply with quote

Hi

Just starting New Project using PIC16F818 and MPlab tells me I need to update the firmware for my PicStart Plus. Is this the only change thats going to be needed to program the flash devicices or will I have to do anything else after updating the firmware?

TIA

PICStart upgrade

Upgrading the firmware should suffice

Note that Microchip provide an upgrade kit for older PICStarts, which comprises of a PIC18 board to replace the older PIC17 chip.
For support of some devices I had to install the kit.
The PIC18 board has a bootloder for updating firmware.
