I tried this....
google " python usb code"

...got lots of hits..

just need to look at a few to see how it's done.


I'd stick the adapter in, wire in loopback, then cut code to send a character and display what comes back.

Thanks Temtronic, it might be a useful skill to learn.
I need to make a decision and move on or my project will die of 'sidetrack'.
I am on the Python forum trying to get advice.
I just looked at some of the USB stuff. It sounds complicated but may still be useful if I need a new project.
