Update the firmware for the ICD-64?

I'm using CCS Device Programmer. When I select the target chip and file to load on my device I get "The firmware in the programming tool does not support this target chip; please update the firmware on tool and select firmware that is compatible." I've downloaded the accompanying usb drivers .exe. Thank you!

There is a tab in the CCSLOAD application called diagnostics. It has utilities for updating the firmware on your ICD. You can either pull one from the web or a local file (usually supplied by CCS support so you would need to contact them for this if you want a local copy).
