Bought compiler and download app installed beta version...
PostPosted: Sun May 12, 2013 12:56 pm     Reply with quote

Hello,

I just recently purchased a pcm compiler. I clicked on the url sent to me by CCS and it installed version 5.001 - beta.

I want to install the most recent production version instead but when I go to the downloads page and enter my name and reference number the system tells me a need a NEW reference number?

What is going on? Please help.

Thanks

I've been with CCS for more than 10 years and that sometimes happens to
me. You have to send a message to CCS and let them know, they will send
you a new reg files and number.

Last time I sent CCS a message asking for help they didn't even bother replying... very frustrating. Only got the automated replies, and that was it.

I'm in this mess because of their lack of response...

Disappointing.

thx. but last time I waited for two weeks after I got the automated reply and several follow up messages before I gave up...

If it wasn't for the support of you forum guys I would be toast.

Why is CCS like that?

hmmm..been with PCM since v2.534 and happy with the tech service dept of CCS.
I don't expect everyone to work 7 days a week(like me...sigh.).

As for response times, they could be short staffed,'key guy' away on holdays, backlog of questions to reply to. Heck , there's a LOT of valid reasons for delays. Why not CALL them on your dime and talk directly?
I don't know how many are employed but they have a LOT of products and WHO can keep track of all the new PICs coming out day after day after day !!

hth
jay
ps I asked my 'family doctor' a serious questio 6 YEARS ago and she STILL hasn't got back to me......

many thanks.

I emailed sales for a new reference number. Let's see how long it takes them to reply.

Appreciated.
