How to drive Varitronix VIM 608 6x1 LCD by PIC18F65K90
PostPosted: Mon Feb 13, 2012 12:30 pm     Reply with quote

Hi

I am trying to use PIC18F65K90 processor to drive Varitronix VIM 608 (6x1) LCD.

If anyone can give me some sample code or Lib code, I would greatly appreciate. Thank you in advance.

You should post a link to the datasheet for the LCD as well as your compiler information.

hmmmmmm...28 pins on the display, that's it ????
That is NOT a complete datasheet for the display ! NO pinout, voltage ratings(2,3,?), details of operation( mux/direct/?), drive specifications(f,Vcc,Vee,?), etc.
My liquid CRYSTAL ball can't possibly help you.
NOBODY can possibly help you until you supply all the details of your chosen LCD.
You could sit there with a battery and a couple of test leads and try all the permutations ( 28! X 27! X 2 I think ) and create a datasheet. If so , please report your findings in the next month or so, it'd be interesting to hear how long it took you to create the pinout.

Honestly, you're better off buying a 'standard' LCD or at least one that comes WITH the spec sheet.
