Cheap SHT sensors
PostPosted: Fri Jul 15, 2011 7:18 pm     Reply with quote

Hi everyone,

Sorry this is not ccs related, but I might as well try here anyway.
Does anyone now anywhere that sells the cheap SHT clones like the ones here? - http://www.futurlec.com/Temperature_Sensors.shtml

I have used them in the past and for the most part they work just as well as the expensive ones that I have also used.
I guess any other temp\humidity sensor will do, just needs to be cheap.

Thanks

Mark

Gee $10 for a real nice T/H sensor IS cheap for me! Just look at the specs and a HUMAN can see HOW to wire it up!! Costs $7 for a Dallas ds18b20, which is temp only.
Really , you get what you pay for. Heck you can use a $1 thermistor for temperature if you want..but the trade off will be $$$$ to get the correct linearization and curve fitting for the range you need. Same goes for the humidity sensor as well.
