PICkit 2 Programmer and PCM Compiler problem
PostPosted: Thu Feb 12, 2009 3:41 am     Reply with quote

First time using the PCM compiler to program PIC16F716. PICkit 2 programs the chip fine but verifying the program comes up with the following message:
Quote:
Verification of Program Memory failed at address 0x000000

What could i possibly be doing wrong? Any fuses in the code i need? Any help appreciated.

How are you connecting the PicKit programmer to the 16F716 chip? If you are using the Low Pin Count Demo board, then this is the wrong chip for that board.

I also use the PicKit2 for most of my work but I am using mostly 8/14/20-pin parts. 18-pin parts need to be connected via ICSP.
