flex_lcd driver and 18F4620
PostPosted: Tue Sep 06, 2011 10:16 pm     Reply with quote

I am having a devil of a time with a simple task. Using a known good combination of a 2X16 LCD (JHD 162A) and an 18F4620. I just cannot make this work with a PCWH compiler. Has anyone used this combo? Pin assignments are:
Code:

#define LCD_DB4   PIN_D0
#define LCD_DB5   PIN_D1
#define LCD_DB6   PIN_D2
#define LCD_DB7   PIN_D3

#define LCD_E     PIN_D5
#define LCD_RS    PIN_D4
//#define LCD_RW    PIN_A2

// If you only want a 6-pin interface to your LCD, then
// connect the R/W pin on the LCD to ground, and comment
// out the following line.

//#define USE_LCD_RW   1

Using PICKIT 2 programmer - works fine with flash LED program

Help, please !

Obvious first comment. You have got the R/W pin on the LCD pulled low?.
However most likely thing is what else PortD is used for. Have you got the line:

setup_psp(PSP_DISABLED);

in your initialisation?.

Best Wishes
