Using SIO program
PostPosted: Mon Jul 12, 2010 5:46 pm     Reply with quote

When using the SIO program there is a line call ASCII. I can type a line of text to send out the serial port when I click send. Is there any way to append a 'return' char at the end of the line of text.

In the 'configuration', 'Set port options'. Enable flow control on transmit only. You can set the 'end of transmit' character (XOFF) to be a carriage return character.

Use another more versatile terminal program, for example the free programs Terminal from Br@y++ or Realterm.
