Today I accepted a job doing hardware engineering, but using the
Atmel ATmega processors.
Chances are I won't be on this board very much.
If you need to get a hold of me do a PM.
Otherwise, thanks for all the help over the years. |

I'd definately make a point of dropping in sometimes though. I have spent many months at a time working with other processors, but still use PICs if I want to put something small together, quickly.
Currently working on a project using an 80x6 'core' in a FPGA, together with two z80's implemented the same way, but have still managed to include half a dozen small PICs to perform some of the basic logic. They worked out cheaper than moving to a larger FPGA, and inluding more processing in this, and much quicker to develop.
Always a pity to see any of the regulars leaving, but 'very best wishes', both for the job, and for Christmas/New Year.
Best Wishes |

I thought Microchip bought out atmel. (EDIT: Well, the Atmel Microcontrollers anyway - not like ALL of Atmel)
Anyway - I've looked into their stuff before..
I remember one of the specs for the ADC on one of the MPU to be 10bits with an error of +-4lsb.
Hahahaha..
Good luck at the new J-O-B.
