Dear Sir,

is the command "read_eeprom(8-bit address)" work well for 16F690 IC?. I have problems with this particular IC. But the code work well for other IC's like 16F877A. is there any differece in reading eeprom values in 16F690 using CCSC.

HI Vinu,

The problem, I belive is in configuration memory of device by compiler.

I had the same problem with PCWH V3,235 and PIC16F628 & PIC16F690.

You have to change with device editor the Data EE Type in Memory configuration. you have to change it to normal.

Bye,

Hi,

With device editor you can give some information to your compiler as memory organization, ram, eeprom e so on.

You can found it under "TOOLS" section of compiler IDE.

Hi,

I'm sorry but English is not my language and I can't explain you as I want.

CCS compiler has it's IDE but you can use the compiler directly with MPLAB, as I do.

PCW Compiler IDE start with file "Pcw.exe".

Which version of CCS compiler have you got ?

Hi,

In the latest MPLAB V7.41 there is a free CCS PCB compiler.

I' can't help you because, at the moment I use MPLAB V7.40 with full version of CCS compiler.

Take a look in help file inside MPLAB

Unless you have CCS version PCW or PCWH you will NOT have the Device editor. It is ONLY available with the CCS PCW/PCWH IDE and NOT through MPLAB.
