Same SPI line but two ICs
PostPosted: Tue Dec 13, 2005 10:39 pm     Reply with quote

Hi.. I am using 18F2550. And I want to use same SPI PINs for two
different ICs. For that I have used latch to handle one by one.
It seems one chip is working and other is not working.

Is it possible to communicate like that? Or I have to send "setup_spi()"
everytime for that perticular chip?

Thanks...

Can you give some more information.

If you mean you have one device (the PIC) talking to two other SPI devices then... If the PIC is the master , then the SPI bus is connected to all devices and you use a spearate CS line from the PIC to each of the devices.
