Help needed with data logger using ualfat-SD
PostPosted: Fri May 16, 2008 8:14 pm     Reply with quote

Hey,

I am currently designing a data logger that records acceleration on 3 axis on an SD card. I've purchased the ualfat-Sd from ghielectronics, as well as a pic18f2550, and started writing the code, but it won't compile...

Keeps on giving me errors regarding the ualfat library. I probably got something wrong...I'm using the CCS with PCH so I guess the problem doesnt come from here.

Can someone help?
If you could provide me with any piece of code for a similar application I'd be more than grateful!!

Thank you!!

Provide a link to the web page where the CCS library source code
can be downloaded for this device. Also post a link to the data sheet.

Hey!

Thanks for replying so fast Smile

The ualfat-SD webpage is the following:
http://www.ghielectronics.com/details.php?id=1&sid=2

It has everything: schematics, user manual, library etc.

The library is on the same page under ualfat chipset download (the one before the last entry)

and the code library manual is at:
http://www.ghielectronics.com/download/uALFAT/uALFAT%20Library%20Manual.pdf

Unfortunately, all they provide are some kinds of tutorials/schematics/user manuals.
No datasheet.

Please let me know if you need any more infos..

Thank you much![/url]

The code in PIC_Example.c is written for the Microchip C18 compiler.
You could try to translate it to CCS. I don't want to do it for you.
You could download the student version of C18 and compile the code
with it, under MPLAB. In that case, you should use the Microchip C18
forum for support.
