Is the MMC fdriver code in PICC OK ??

Hi,

MCU: 18F4620, 18F4550
Compiler: PCH 4.073

I intend to use a 18F4620 or 18F4550 for a MMC based project. I am interested in using the MMC driver in the PICC folder.

Kindly advise if there are any known bugs for this driver.

I am using a 7 pin RS MMC card, can the driver be used for this kind of a memory card ??

If you are not using a FAT file system then these PICs are both fine. If you are intending to use a FAT and write files then the PIC18F4620 with its larger RAM is a better option.

Hi,

The system I am designing scans input ports (90 in all) and logs the status to the memory (MMC card). The system would not do any other file operations..

Is a FAT system justified for this kind of a system ??

The main reason for using a FAT is if you want to be able to remove the SD/MMC card and have it written to or read from a PC or other device using the FAT file system.
