CCS CDC demo: USB to RS232, usb driver supports vista?
PostPosted: Mon Mar 10, 2008 4:49 am     Reply with quote

I use PIC18F4550 for the example, "USB serial"
But I can't install the driver with the file "cdc_NTXP.ini"
I could install that driver under window XP
But now I have to use Vista
Does this driver support Vista?
If not, How can I modify it?

You should have another version of the .inf file. For the last twenty or more compiler versions, there have been four versions of the file present:
cdc9Xpt1.inf
cdc9Xpt2.inf
cdc_NTXP.inf
cdc_NTXPVista.inf

You need the last of these. If you have a maintenance contract, simply download the latest compiler. If not, ask CCS, and they may well supply the file.

Best Wishes
