MMC FAT Only Read

I have read that it's possible to use the MMC with the PIC, but the problem is the FAT, you can write a file (eg 10kb) with the PC on MMC and read it sequentially from the pic byte per byte? Or it must to use the 512b blocks ?

The requirement of a 512 block size only applies to write.

It also applies to the new high density SD/MMC cards for read.

The answer is Yes. Most FAT drivers can access files at byte level, even though the driver is using 512byte sized buffer. But of course, your PIC must have around 1k RAM, with FAT driver, MMM/SD driver, and your application...
