my DS18B20 isn't sensitive SOLVED
PostPosted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 9:13 am     Reply with quote

Hi,

i am using DS18B20 to measure temperature, but the result isn't sensitive i mean at 22 C my circuit shows 003,0 or 003,5 C when i heat the sensor the temperature increases but still further below actual temperature,

i tried different circuits and sensors always the same result
i am using 9 bit resolution and i am quit sure i am displaying the data correct.

what might be the problem any suggestions! my whole code is to long to post it here sorry

i am using

CCS 4,065
PIC18F2620-I/P at 32MHZ (internal osc with pll enabled)
my circuit is okay PIN_A2 is one_wire pin (with 4K7 pull up)
my one_wire code was working with different project
i can read rom code from sensor an it is reasonable
and i have worked with ds18b20 before it was okay

thanks for comments

I solved the problem
i am stupid no my assistent is stupid
i told him to buy DS18B20 and i specially said not ds1820 or ds18s20 and the result is; he bought DS1820

i guess most of errors in electronics is due to human Smile

i just want to share.
