Basic Bootloader Question

Hi friends,

I am new to bootloader. Can anyone reply to my basic question?

Do we have to download the bootloader everytime you want to download a differnt application code?

OR

Do we only download the bootloader first time (only once) and from there on we download the application code whenever there is a change in the application code?

Anykind of comments are appreciated?

Please read the information on a bootloader website:
http://www.microchipc.com/PIC16bootload/
It says:
