Version Control Software for a small team ... ?

Can anybody suggest any good cheap version control software for a team of 3-4 (very disorganised) users? SourceSafe seems to be a ripoff, I have tried command line CVS but I can't even set it up let alone administer it, and that leaves me fresh out of ideas.

It should ideally...
Be simple to use otherwise we will all end up not using it
Integrate with Visual Studio, MPLAB, and our various other IDEs (e.g. IAR)
Be workable for other versionable stuff e.g. PCB layout, artwork, kitting, manuals, etc.

Any clues...?

We have used loads over the years - QVCS Pro for 100% internal projects, and QVCS Enterprise for browser based internal/external projects.

Good value, easy to setup and use, reported bugs fixed quickly, very active forum, regular updates for new features. Integrates with quite a few IDE's as its based on common VCS API standards.

CVS has been around forever. There have been front-ends built for easier management. The command line interface is great for automating tasks. Quite a few IDE's interface directly with CVS (Eclipse through a plug-in, new versions of LabView). I cannot remember if Microsoft's Visual Studio might interface CVS also. The price is perfect. :-)
