SPI DAC sync pin? What's it for?
PostPosted: Mon Aug 13, 2007 3:25 pm     Reply with quote

Hi,

I'm interfacing to a DAC (TI DAC7512), and can't figure out what the SYNC pin is supposed to connect to on the PIC. The PIC has SDI, SDO, and SCK.

Should it connect to the Slave Select (SS) pin?

I think I figured out that this SYNC pin is not a part of the SPI protocol. I just have to implement another pin to control the SYNC behavior.
