During the initialization phase of the ECAN engine what is happening on the can bus? I have a PIC18F4685 with a 2551 transceiver that is used on a heavy vehicle. This dievice plugs in while the bulldozer is running so the bus is active. occasionally I get an error message from the vehicle when the unit is plugged in. I think there is some disruption of the bus when plugged in. So i guess the question is when does the PIC actually connect to the bus?
