Hi. I am from Brazil so I sorry about my poor english
I have two questions about pics.
1: i would like know about cheap pics with i2c e rs232. any indication?
2: The pic16f628a has two dedicated pins for tx and rx rs232, but i can use others pins for tx and rx rs 232. So, what´s the difference?

Thanks.
I could use the UART software in the receptor PIC and with the function switch I sent 0 and 1 for the PORTB wich was connected with one display.
But I used many output high and low to light the display.
The CCs compiler has any function to send a word to the PORTB?
Look in the section on Built-in Functions. There's a list of all the CCS
functions at the start of that section. Then look in the sub-section on
"Discrete i/o". You will see several functions listed which can output
a complete byte to a port.
