PIC18F87J10 id locations missing

I am migrating from a 18F8722 to a 18F87J10, and I have coma across a huge obstacle - missing id locations.

I use #id checksum_program to make the compiler place the CRC of the flash in this location for later runtime checks. The problem is that the 18F87J10 is missing these locations, and I still need to do the CRC checks. Does anyone have a fix for this, or a hint on how to proceed?
