The .WAV files I record with Windows Sound Recorder cannot be opened, message is "Unknown WAVE file type"
I've tried various Audio Formats but cannot find any that match the
format used in the samples provided by Roman Black.
I sent him an email but he does not respond !
Has anyone been able to use the Encoder program if so what program and Audio format did you use ?
Thanks

Apparently, not all WAV files are playable (or readable) on all players.
Here's a website with a bunch of WAV files that won't play on standard
players.
http://www-mmsp.ece.mcgill.ca/Documents/AudioFormats/WAVE/Samples.html
I suggest changing the settings on your recorder or use a different
recorder.

As I found out the .WAV format is a mess !
I wrote a program to extract the data and format the output ready as a
const int8 Sound_1[]="0x12.... etc"};
That works but the sound quality is not good.
Next circuit board will include a DAC which will improve the quality a lot.
As soon as I get time I'll post the extraction program at my web site.
Thanks for the help.
