how can PIC connect to a DHCP server via ethernet interface
PostPosted: Mon Jun 04, 2007 3:32 am     Reply with quote

Hi, all,
Currently I have a satellite modem acting as a DHCP server.
Using telnet ip port on the PC, I can send AT command, and connect to internet via this modem.

Can I connect a PIC with this satellite modem for internet connection? How should i start?

Please shed some light.

Thanks.

Perhaps this does not answer your question - but if I were doing this project I would use a Z-World controller - they have a nice C compiler that does DHCP well and the prices are very reasonable. I have used the RCM3700 modules - low cost, and with very good debugging support.
