Hi everyone
Here in the picture (http://www.tinet.org/~fmco/images/dccgen_lcd.jpg) you may see that there is 2 characters being printed in one 5x8 matrix.
I 've also heard that is possible to print one large character in 2 or 4 5x8 matrixes , how can I accomplish that? Does fontgen help doing that?

Regular 2x16/20/40 LCD displays has a limited capability to shown characters, they have a
predefined and fixed set of chars described in the datasheets.
The characters shown in the LCD display that you pointed us, was made using the
Custom Characters capabilities, that enable you to define up to 8 "custom chars".

You can use the following "calculator" to generate characters or symbols in 5x7 fashion:
