18F252 to 18F2620 upgrade problem
PostPosted: Wed Apr 11, 2007 9:45 am     Reply with quote

I've been using the 18F252 for a couple of years now but a program I've written is too big to fit into it's ROM so I got hold of a couple of 18F2620s instead. Unfortunately, the code itself seems to work but I can't get anything through the output pin A0. I've tried everything I could think of but it doesn't seem to work, even resorting to the most basic program shown below which works fine on my 18F252 but not the 2620. Is there a new flag or something I need to set to enable the outputs? Help!!!

Thanks
Simon

Code:
#include <18F2620.h>

#device adc=8

/*#FUSES NOWDT                    //No Watch Dog Timer
#FUSES WDT128                   //Watch Dog Timer uses 1:128 Postscale

I'm not sure if I'm reading the default states correctly from the datasheet. But, I think it may default to LVP if not specifically set to NOLVP.

Try adding that fuse and see if it helps...

I've never had problems with the 2620.
