CAN Bit rate
PostPosted: Thu Mar 29, 2007 6:48 pm     Reply with quote

Hi,
Im trying to set up a CAN node on a 500Khz system. Using a PIC18F4685
@ 20Mhz. Having no success. I think my timing is wrong. I have set up
the bit rate pre-scaler value=0
SJW=2;
phase segment 1=8
phase segment 2 =8
propagation segment =4

any thoughts? I think I got the math right. But no matter what I try I can not get this node to communicate. In loopback mode it works fine.

Thanks

It's about 1/3 of the way down in the thread.

Are you subtracting 1 from your desired values?
