The downloader XOR's with the same value before sending.
Simple, and can be cracked if someone wants to analyze it, but the technique can be expanded to improve the security should it be demanded. |
Hi Dave
The problem is that I havent written a bootloader of my own, I am relying on finding a bootloader already written, that has encryption in it. I found one by 'diolan' but that seems to require a USB connection and also there is little documentation. :( |

I just modfied the Microchip one (AN851), to process each byte as it was read from the serial port. |
