JDM PIC programmer problem

i have a JDM PIC programmer, it can works well with PC but cannot work with my laptop....anyone can suggest me how to solve this problem....thanks Smile

Are you by chance using a USB to serial converter? If so there have numerous comments here and other places about incompatibilities. I use the Belkin that works pretty well.

Even if you don't use a converter, one major issue may be the fact that the JDM programmer is powered from the serial port and laptops many times don't have as high a voltage for the serial port as a PC.

Since there is no provision for an external supply you may be out of luck. If this is the case JDM does offer you your money back..... Sad

You should pull up V+12volt R 4.7k on MCLR pin then pull up 5 volt R4.7k with clk and data pin
