I2C slave pin selection
PostPosted: Sun Nov 12, 2006 11:26 am     Reply with quote

I would like to setup slave mode for an 18f452 but pin C4 is not available. It is used by an external encoder chip. Is there a way to use the CCS functions to set the pins to something other than C4 and C3?

I believe you can choose any pin (within reason, none of the odd ones like the open drain ones...) The I2C is bit-banged unless otherwise forced to be hardware.
