There are several LCD drivers in each one of those places.

We've found drivers for other PICs, such as 16Csomething, but the one for the 18F6720 does not support LCD

When compiling one of the examples (made for a 16C PIC) appear several errors. Is there any example program which supports LCD with a 18F6720??

The standard LCD driver, will run with the 8720 fine. None of the drivers are that 'device specific', except for things like the USB ones.
You need to set the configurations to use port B, or port D as required by yourself, and it will work fine.
