Can i get time and send to PC via RS-232 ?

Hi,

The PIC does not have a dedicated hardware RTC, but you can "roll your own" with counters and timers. I'd recommend, however, that you use one of the readily available add-on RTC's (like the Dallas DS1307) if you want to keep track of the time/date. These devices are also battery-backed so they continue to keep time when the power is off. So, here is what you need:

PIC + DS1307 + Max232 (RS-232 line tranceiver) ===>> PC
