Reverse phase control and a PIC18

This project is an AC (115VAC 60Hz) PIC controlled AC load.
The project is EMI sensitive so I would like to use some MOSFETs and reverse phase control to keep the EMI low.
But I'm not able to find to much information on reverse phase control.
Can any one point me in the right direction?
