18f4525.h file

Hi All,

I can't seem to find the 18f4525.h file in my ccs install directory. Is there a link where I can download newer header files?

Just receiving the new header file won't help you. Microchip comes with new chips all the time, these new chips have new features and errata that the compiler has to know about for creating correct code. The header file is important but there are more items to be adapted for the new processor.

I checked my older compiler versions and v3.226 already supports the 18F4525. For serious PIC18 development I don't recommend to use earlier compiler versions, so please upgrade your compiler. Note that with CCS you can buy a new maintenance contract whenever it suits you, ie. you are allowed to have 'gaps' in between maintenance contracts as opposed to some other vendors.
