EEPROM reading ...
PostPosted: Wed Jul 05, 2006 8:49 pm     Reply with quote

Hi...

As per I know there is no endurance for reading EEPROM. But as we are
going to release new product ,just want to confirm with masters.

I read in the data sheet about erase/write endurance for EEPROM.
That, I have taken care for writting EEPROM.
But there is nothing in the datasheet for reading EEPROM.

Is there any issue/drama for reading EEPROM in the loop for a number
of times in any circumtances whether cold or what ever....

Thanks.....

No issue in general however there was a silicon bug with some PICs at one time that could result in an incorrect value being read back from EEPROM. Check the Errata for your PIC.

I don't believe there is a maximum number of 'reads' that can be made from an eeprom. If you are reading a boat load and only writing a little then you should be fine. It's if you write a boat load that will cause the eeprom to die.
