Migrate from 16F877A to 18F4525
PostPosted: Wed May 24, 2006 4:54 pm     Reply with quote

Hi forum!!

i have a programm working with the 16f877a.

now i want to use 18f4525, i have the code for PCH mode:
Code:

#elif defined(__PCH__)
#include <18F4525.h>
#fuses HS,NOWDT,NOPROTECT,NOLVP
#use delay(clock=4000000)
#use rs232(baud=9600, xmit=PIN_C6, rcv=PIN_C7)
#endif

my problem is that when compiling using ccs embeeded in MPLABV6.60,
it says that

"The extended CPU mode configuration bit is enabled, but the program that was loaded was not built using extended CPU instructions."

How can i solve this problem??

the pic doesn't run.

what do i have to do???

What operation you are doing within MPLAB when you get this
message ? Are you trying to program a PIC ? Also you didn't
give your compiler version.

But anyway, try adding the fuse setting to disable Extended instructions:
Example:
Quote:
#fuses HS,NOWDT,NOPROTECT,NOLVP, NOXINST
