PICDEM FS Problems
PostPosted: Wed Mar 29, 2006 7:31 am     Reply with quote

I am running the CCS demos on a PicDem FS. The program runs flawlessly for about a minute and then the FS disconnects itself. This only seems to happen with the CCS demos and not the Microchip demos.

Any ideas?

The demo is EX_MOUSE
Complier is 3.249
Picdem FS is 11/30/04

The problem does not occur with the Microchip examples. I have also loaded a not USB program into the Picdem FS while it is powered by the USB cable and I don't have any problems.

Could there be a problem with the CCS USB driver?

I have the CCS USB development kit and have had good success with all of the CCS USB drivers to this point, including your particular example (EX_MOUSE).

I have also used their USB CDC driver for my own USB Frankencircuit and found that it worked well too.

Hmm, I suspect that if I actually use the connection sense input that is #defined on then the software will work correctly.

When I undefine this input then the software / board works well.

A bit of brain failure on my part...
