This is also not the place to get your school assignments completed for you.

He is using someone else's code. He has no idea how to connect what he has to make it work. Why, cause he isn't doing any of the real work. We shouldn't take it easy on him. Undoubtly this is a school project where he is supposed to be learning something.

1) Do your best to use proper English spelling and grammar. If English is not your primary language we can make allowances for grammar but your spelling should be reasonable.

2) RTFM... or in this case Read The Fine hall effect sensor Datasheet. I am sure it shows how to connect the sensor to a logic level input. Since there are many types of hall sensors we can't help you without a manufacturer and part number.

Hi hank,

Firstly it wanted that you know that my previous commentary did not want to be
offensive, I only wanted to put a humor touch to him, but surely you understood
the message that was very well said by SherpaDoug:

"Do your best to use proper English spelling and grammar"

Regarding your question, in the following links you will find usefull info from where
you can learn.

http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/devicedoc/41214a.pdf
http://www.elecdesign.com/Articles/Index.cfm?AD=1&ArticleID=8513
http://www.ccsinfo.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17726&highlight=freq
http://www.ccsinfo.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20039&highlight=freq

Did you read/understand/test the CCS ex_freqc.c code in the Examples Folder ?

I strongly recomend to read the microchip AN 41214.pdf found in the first link.
